How do I qualify for a partnership with Union for Gamers?

Before attempting to apply for a partnership, please ensure that your channel meets the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 views in the 30 days OR 8,000 views in the 30 days.
  • Majority of your content must be gaming related, or fit in the gaming culture
  • 10,000 lifetime views on your channel*
  • Account must be in good standing**
  • Not partnered with another network***

*In order to join a network, you must be able to sign YouTube's Partnership Program contract which requires a channel to have 10,000 lifetime views to qualify for.

**You can check your account's standing here: youtube.com/features. YouTube does not allow networks to invite channels in bad standing, including any active strikes or disabled monetization.

As of early April 2017, YouTube now requires all channels to be linked to an AdSense account, as well as to have undergone a review, in order to monetize content.  Channels that have not done this will not be able to receive an invite to the network.

The use of copyright content within YouTube is very stringently monitored. We ask that you not use copyright music. As a video game company network, we DO have the ability to monetize actual game play. This means footage of you actually playing the game accompanied either by text on screen, voice over or edited in some way to make it uniquely yours. Please do not include cut scenes without commentary or trailers as they are not covered by gameplay monetization.

To expand on non-copyrighted music, we do provide access to music libraries, you can view more information about Epidemic Sound here and Audio Micro here.

***If you are partnered with another network, you will still be able to apply and submit your channel for review.  However, you will not be able to receive an invite to the network until your channel has been fully released from your current network.  If your channel was still with a network prior to April 2017, after unlinking you will need to re-enable your monetization by linking your channel to an AdSense account.

If you meet all of the above and are interested, the link to apply is located here.
